注意：这种写法每个数字后面都要带上数位名称。

To break up by place value, say how many of each place there are. 582 becomes 5 hundreds, 8 tens and 2 ones, written as 5 ratus + 8 puluh + 2 sa.
Example: 736 breaks up into 7 ratus + 3 puluh + 6 sa.
Watch out: Keep the place words ratus, puluh and sa after each digit, or the parts lose meaning.

Cerakin nilai digit = 按数值分解
按数值分解是把每个数字真正的值写出来再相加。582 写成 500 + 80 + 2，因为 5 在百位值 500，8 在十位值 80。三个值加回去要等于 582。
例子：469 = 400 + 60 + 9。
注意：不能写成 5、8、2 直接相加，那样只得 15，不是 582。

This time write the real value of each digit and add them. 582 becomes 500 + 80 + 2, because the 5 is worth 500 and the 8 is worth 80. Adding the parts back must give 582.
Example: 469 = 400 + 60 + 9.
Watch out: Adding just the digits 5, 8 and 2 gives only 15, not 582.

Dalam 704, nilai digit boleh ditulis 700 + 4 atau 700 + 0 + 4. Tetapi nilai tempat mesti menulis 0: 7 ratus + 0 puluh + 4 sa. Susunan boleh ditukar: 4 + 700 juga 704.

704 = 700 + 4 = 4 + 700

Digit sifar = 数字 0
704 的十位是 0。按数值分解可以写 700 + 4，也可以写 700 + 0 + 4，两种都对。按数位分解时，0 不能省略：704 = 7 ratus + 0 puluh + 4 sa。
例子：640 = 6 ratus + 4 puluh + 0 sa = 600 + 40。
注意：别写成 70 和 4 相加，7 在百位，值是 700。
